Rashaan Clark Morris reviews the GBMP film series part 2 featuring the Art Ensemble Live in Brazil

In October of 2000, The Art Ensemble of Chicago was invited to be a part of a music festival in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo, Brazil with many different styles of music of the Diaspora represented, Free Jazz being just one of them. Other invited participants included Cuban pianist Chucho Valdes, R & B star DeAngelo, and drummer Max Roach and his band, along with various local Brazilian groups.
