Byron Woods has done background vocals for such greats as Phil Perry, who performed as an opening act for Patti Austin and he has shared the stage with Ben E King, Vesta Williams, and The Staple Singers. As a footnote, Byron's then road manager John Abbey was the founder of the worlds Nol Blues & Soul magazine, B&S.

What began as a desire to play some music has grown into a musical career for the band, STERIO. It was the union of a group of brothers and cousins from Belize, Central America that gave the band their initial start in 1977.

By a narrow alleyway in the city’s Lazimpat neighbourhood, a narrow stairway leads to a rather dimly lit chamber. Every evening, the Upstairs Jazz, one of the favourite hangouts of Kathmandu’s Jazz music lovers, attracts the city’s Jazz music aficionados.

Born October 11, 1947 in Memphis, Tennessee, Mwata Bowden came the South Side of Chicago with his family when he was ten. Following the path that generations of African-Americans had taken since the beginning of the century, Bowden's father came North looking f or better-paying work and found it at a South Side factory.

Kirk Brown

Kirk Brown, keyboards/music production/sound designer, has been involved in the music industry for over twenty-five years.He has worked with a variety of great musicians, graphic artists, dancers, poets/spoken-word and more.. He's studied at the Chicago School of Music as a child, playing recitals, solo & duo piano. He studied and performed at Malcolm X CC and Governor State U.

Al Rowe

Al Rowe is a versatile performer who fully engages his audience during performances. Al Rowe grew up in Chicago, Illinois where as a youth, his musical influences began early in life. On many occasions, as a child he would watch his grandfather and Sunnyland Slim (as well as several other veteran blues greats) jam in the family's living room.
