Dudley Owens

Dudley Owens was born in 1979 and fell in love with jazz at an early. The youngest sibling of four he was born into a musical family. He fell in love with the saxophone when he saw Branford Marsalis playing on a tv show. At the age of 10 he finally got his chance to play the saxophone. Excelling over his peers he was chosen to perform in numerous solo competitions.

Edward Wilkerson Jr.

Edward Wilkerson Jr. is one of the great saxophone and clarinet players on the Chicago scene, but from the '80s into the new millennium may have become best known as a bandleader and composer, particularly associated with medium- to large-scale projects (somewhat daunting in an era when creative music bandleaders are challenged to keep even small ensembles together).
